Cranberry Lake Weed Pull Located in Pierce County, south of Tacoma.

August 3:
Rose Creek Weed Pull Located in Whitman County, northwest of Pullman.

August 6:
Shelly Rae Jay, a wetland biologist, will give a presentation on her amphibian studies with the Conservancy, focused in the Skagit River area. She describes her life-long love of amphibians as "always being the kid to come home with frogs in her pockets!" She promises to bring along a few "special" guests.

This presentation is open to all volunteers and members of the Conservancy. It begins at 6:00 p.m. in our Seattle office and is followed at 7:00 p.m. with an orientation for new volunteers.

August 10:
Yakima River Canyon Weed Pull Located in Kittitas County, south of Ellensburg.

Tuesday night projects return! The Conservancy will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. tonight for volunteer projects. This is a great opportunity to meet other volunteers and help the Conservancy. The Annual Volunteer Recognition Field Trip! This year's event will feature a canoe trip across Baker Lake to Noisy Creek. Bring your own canoe.

View an amazing slide show focusing on the unique Conservancy program in Alaska. With unique land ownership patterns in Alaska, the Conservancy in this state focuses more of its resources on working cooperatively with land owners than on land acquisition.

Staff member Dave Morrison will present a report from the field on our Klickitat Oaks preserve in southern Washington.

October 5:
A Youth Education speaker's training opportunity for the Skagit Eagle Show. The training will take place from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, and will be followed by an in-classroom demonstration session scheduled for the following week.
